After graduating from Ankara Fen Lisesi in 1986 and subsequently completing his studies in Civil Engineering at Boğaziçi University in 1991, Mr. Kartal, who is a founding partner of several construction companies, has held managerial positions for 21 years. During this time, he successfully completed numerous construction projects across 3 continents and 7 different countries.

Mr. Kartal founded Hun Yapı A.Ş. in 2012 and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board at Hun Holding A.Ş., Helios Yatırım Enerji Üretim Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., Hun Yenilenebilir Enerji Üretim A.Ş., Koray Gayrimenkul ve Yatırım A.Ş., Koray Yapı Endüstrisi ve Ticaret A.Ş., and Koray İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.

Since May 2021, Mr. Kartal has also been serving as the Chairman of the Board at Koray Gayrimenkul Yatırım Ortaklığı A.Ş. He is proficient in English.
